Huaren's life was remarkably easy at first. He was born to a family that grew medicinal herbs at Keroon Hold. He never paid much attention to the farming though he should have. His days of leisure ended when a blight struck their lands, causing their crops to wither. Problem upon problem struck that summer, including a fire that destroyed most of their crops. Overnight, his circumstances changed and though his parents made it clear he could stay, he decided they didn't need quite so many mouths to feed. And so, Huaren struck off on his own. He had skills really, but they were limited in scope and he found himself floundering. It didn't take long for him to learn that alcohol could drown his sorrows, and for a while he lost himself in it. Eventually, to fund his life, Ren turned to sex work. Over the course of a couple of turns, Huaren made his way to Ista Weyr. Most weyrfolk are well aware of his profession, and the fact that the Weyrwoman has made him a kept man. Both Weyrleader and many of the weyrfolk considered Huaren an eyesore, but rather than shy away from it…he leaned into it. Eventually, Ren's past caught up to him. A Lord Holder whom he'd stolen from in the past sent people to Ista to find him. Rather than reaching out for help, Huaren disappeared only to be caught on a return trip to Ista. Before he could be sent off to the Hold, the Night Watch rescued him from the boat they were using as transport. After moving in with K'win and working at The Rebel Son, Huaren had several months of peace...until Moth and Seru searched him for the Oil's clutch. When the eggs hatched, Huaren walked away from the sands with Opal Koremeyuth and a new name - R'huna.

Personality: Huaren chafes under the constraints of Ista and the derision he faces there. He is prone to bending rules or toeing the line. He is flippant in many ways and entirely unashamed which often comes out in the form of inappropriate commentary. Though he comes off as confident he can be very vulnerable in private with those he trusts. He can, will, and has run away from serious problems to avoid them. After many years of just thinking one day ahead, he's finally started planning for the future.
Scar: A thick scar begins just a few inches to the right of Huaren's belly button and runs across his side, stopping just a bit before reaching his spine. Compared to the rest of his skin, the mark is several shades darker. While he has a smattering of other scars, those have all healed nicely and seem barely noticeable. In contrast, this one, in particular, is raised and thick, marring his torso.
